Interessantissime novità in arrivo per tutti i possessori di Samsung Galaxy S II brandizzato Vodafone UK, l’ operatore anglosassone ha recentemente confermato la notizia che ormai tutti aspettavano da tempo, ossia l’imminente rilascio della nuova ROM basata sul sistema operativo Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
La conferma arriva direttamente dal forum di Vodafone UK:
The Android 4.0 upgrade for GALAXY S II smartphones running on the Vodafone UK network is currently under test to make sure that we provide the highest level of final software. As soon as the tests are completed we will upload the software to the update servers as quickly as possible.

The Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Galaxy S II has now been approved, and is set to be available on 12th April via Over The Air update and Samsung KIES. This is a provisional date which could change, but we’ll let you know here if that’s the case.
Come possiamo leggere nei due post, la nuova ROM è attualmente in fase di test, non appena gli ultimi test saranno completi verrà caricata sui server per consentire agli utenti di effettuare l’aggiornamento. Nell’ ultimo post infine, viene confermata la data di rilascio ufficiale, il prossimo 12 Aprile 2012, via OTA o tramite la suite KIES.
